Levi the wonderdog Print

Levi, also known affectionnately as Levi the Wonderdog, is a 5-year old Golden Retriever rescued by Sue when she picked him to be her hearing-ear dog. It was said by the trainers that Levi would probably not make a good helping dog because he was uncharacteristically jumpy and nervous. Nonetheless, with a healthy dose of love from his new owner and her entourage, Levi developed into a well-adjusted dog (except when on certain medicines LOL).

NOTES

Jesse - the dog that portrayed Levi - was born just outside of Toronto and was owned and trained by Bryan Renfro. Jesse also had a brother named Hamish. Before starring on Sue Thomas F.B.Eye, Jesse also appeared in ANIMORPHS as Homer. Fans were saddened to learn that Jesse died on August 19 2006 from Lymphoma cancer.

I couldn't tell you how old exactly Jesse since I don't exactly known how old he was when the serie started. But as stated in the bio notes above, he died in 2006, 4 years after the start of the series.

I hope that they make a movie of the show and finally get Jack and Sue together.
I wish the people in charge of the show would consider making another Sue Thomas F B Eye show again with the same people. It was the best. I am really sorry to hear about Jessie the dog. My sister has a golden retriever she is wonderful dog.

In my opinion, Levi was the most talented and best-trained dog in show business. He was so "natural." The episode in which he got lost especially showed his talent and training, but there were some things that happened to him that must have been spontaneous and that showed that he was shocked by them. It isn't fair to such a trusting animal to have things drop on or near him and to almost run into him with a car. His expressions were simply fantastic, however, and it was as though he was born to be an actor! Jesse -- we all miss you very much. Even if they were to bring the human stars for a reunion show, it just would not be the same without Levi!
